This merely helps temporarily... until Windows 10 forces the same patch to be installed inside 24 hours.  If in that location is a reason to uninstall a patch, how do we stop the patch from being automatically reinstalled?

Thanks for offering this fix.  I'm trying to uninstall the update KB3211320, dates 1/25/2017, which I believe is the Anniversary Update.  I come across that update as the about recent one on the "Uninstall an update" page.  However, right-clicking on that one and a few others yields no result, although I get an uninstall option on the rest.

Is there a workaround for this, a style I can get at this update?  It has disabled my computer.

Thanks, Allen.  That'southward exactly what I did - and what didn't work.  I found the workaround, withal.  It involved changing it from permanent to removable in the Windows\servicing\packages folder, then Control Panel - Sstem - Advanced - Organisation Properties - Hardware Device Installation Settings - choose NO.

I was able to uninstall the update and keep it from reinstalling, but the problem isn't stock-still yet.

There is no way to end motorcar reinstall. Windows x does non permit this.
